OWNER - UX/UI Designer, KAKELVERSCH

SAMIR FOUNDOU

I was born and raised in the province of Limburg, but I live and work in the city of Nijmegen. I started my career in 1996 after completing my studies as a Graphic Designer. After 12 years of working in the print domain for several advertising and publishing agencies I made the switch to the Digital field in 2008. At that same time I moved from Limburg to Amsterdam.

The start of Kakelversch

I founded Kakelversch at the end of 2011, due to increasing requests for independent assignments. At the time, my work for Kakelversch was a side job alongside my regular job.

In December 2020, I decided it was time for the next step in my career. In January of the following year, I bid farewell to my employer to continue my career as a full-time freelance designer. Since May 2022, I have been residing in Nijmegen and am available on a hybrid basis for projects throughout the Netherlands.

A New Initiative
The next step occurred in August 2023 when I launched a new initiative. Under the name Studio Kakelversch, I design and sell graphic artworks, in addition to my work as a freelance UX/UI Designer.

My philosophy

The ambition I have with Kakelversch is to combine my creativity and the constant digital developments to meet my customers needs and help them drive their business success.
